Feta in phyllo pastry , sesame & honey


Ingredients

- 4 sq. slices of feta cheese 6cm x 6cm & 1 cm in height & 4 sheets of filo pastry - 2 tbsps of ground sesame seed - 4 level tbsps of honey - 1 tbsp of vinegar & extra virgin olive oil

Preparation

  • cut the pastry in the middle & place 2 halves one on top of the other, till you have 4 pies

  • place a square of feta cheese on each piece

  • fold into an parcel shape

  • in a small saucepan, melt the honey, vinegar & a soupspoon of water. Keep the mixture warm

  • take the parcels of feta cheese & fry in hot extra virgin olive oil till golden brown

  • when cooked place on absorbent kitchen paper & then serve on 4 dessert plates

  • drip the melted honey mixture evenly over each parcel & sprinkle the sesame seed on top
