Baked Greek Giant Beans ''GIGANTES''


Ingredients

• 500 g. Giants Greek beans

• 2 onions cut into thin slices

• 2 carrots cut into rings

• 1 clove garlic, sliced

• 1 cup. olive oil tea (always extra virgin)

• dried oregano

• ½ bunch parsley

• 400 grams. Chopped tomatoes

• 1 tsp. sweet sugar

• salt - freshly ground pepper

Directions

1.On the night before soak the beans with plenty of water.

2.The next day, boil them until soft for about 50 min, drain and put them in a pan.

3. Heat a half olive oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat and withers the garlic and onion for 8- 10 min.They should not take color, just wilted.

4. Add the sugar, tomatoes, carrot, oregano, parsley, salt and pepper, cook for 10 min and pour them to giants. Add the remaining olive oil and one cup of water.

5.Bake in a preheated oven resistances at 200 ° C for about 50-55 min, until they left with their oil.

6.You can serve gigantes with crumbled feta cheese.
